应匈牙利、保加利亚两国政府邀请，中国四川汶川地震灾区中小学生近100人将于8月4日至25日期间分别在上述两国疗养。
At the invitation of the Governments of Hungary and Bulgaria, about 100 primary and middle-school students from Wenchuan quake-hit areas of China will visit the two countries respectively for recuperation from August 4 to 25.
匈牙利、保加利亚均为最早与新中国建交的国家之一，与中国有着传统友好关系。此次两国政府邀请四川汶川地震灾区中小学生前往疗养，充分体现了两国人民对中国人民的友好情谊，我们对此表示赞赏和感谢。相信这次疗养活动必将进一步增进双方人民特别是青少年之间的相互了解和友谊，丰富中匈、中保友好合作关系的内涵，促进双边关系深入发展。
Among the first countries establishing diplomatic relations with China, Hungary and Bulgaria both maintain traditional friendship with China. Inviting students from quake-hit areas for recuperation fully demonstrates the friendship of people in the two countries towards the Chinese people, and we express our appreciation and gratitude to that. We believe the recuperation tour will further enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the people especially the youth of China and the two countries, enrich China-Hungary and China-Bulgaria friendly and cooperative relations, and further promote the development of the bilateral relations between China and the two countries.

Q:US President Bush will come to China to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics next week. It is said he will meet with President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and Vice President Xi Jinping. What will they discuss? Which issue is the priority to be resolved between the two sides?
答：布什总统将来华出席北京奥运会的开幕式和相关活动。胡锦涛主席等中国领导人将同他会见。中美两国都是世界上有重要影响的国家，双方都重视发展两国关系，两国领导人保持着经常接触。他们每次会见的时候都有很多重要的话题要谈，我相信这次也不例外。我相信布什总统访华期间，两国领导人将就中美关系以及共同关心的重大国际地区问题交换意见。
A: President Bush will come to China to attend the opening ceremony and relevant activities of the Beijing Olympics. President Hu Jintao and other Chinese leaders will meet with him. China and the US, both countries of major impact in the world, attach importance to bilateral relations. Leaders of the two countries have kept frequent contacts and exchange views on important issues. I believe this time is no exception. During President Bush's stay in China, he will exchange views on the China-US relations and major international and regional issues of common interests with his Chinese counterpart.
问：你对布什总统为中美关系发展所做的贡献有何评价？
答：我想现在还不是对布什总统过去8年的政绩做评论的时候。但是从中美关系来讲，我们认为布什总统在过去8年中为推进中美关系的健康稳定发展做出了重要努力，也取得了重要成绩。在过去八年中，中美关系总体上保持稳定向前发展，双方在政治、经贸、社会、文化、教育、执法、反恐、环保等各领域进行了良好合作。双方在国际层面上也进行了良好的合作，在一系列重大问题上保持沟通、协调和配合。中美关系的发展给中美两国人民都带来了重要的利益。
A: I think it is not the time to evaluate President Bush's political achievements over the past eight years. However, he has made great efforts and accomplished significant achievements in promoting the sound and stable development of bilateral relations. The past 8 years have witnessed an overall momentum of stable development of bilateral relations and sound cooperation in the fields of politics, trade and economy, society, culture, education, law enforcement, counter terrorism, environmental protection and etc. The two countries have kept communication, coordination, and cooperation on major international issues. The development of China-US relations is beneficial to the people of the two countries.
不可否认，中美在一些问题上还存在分歧，我们愿意在相互尊重、平等和互不干涉内政的基础上继续同美方在各个领域开展对话、交流和合作。中方欢迎布什总统来北京参加奥运会，也期待同他就有关问题继续进行探讨。
Admittedly, there are still some differences between us. We hope to continue dialogues, communication and cooperation with the US side on the basis of mutual respect, equality and non-interference in internal affairs. China welcomes President Bush to attend the Beijing Olympics and expect to hold talks with him on relevant issues.
问：据报道，美国总统布什来华期间还会出席美国驻华大使馆新馆开馆仪式。中方对此有何回应？
Q: It is reported President Bush will attend the opening ceremony of the new US embassy in China. How do you comment on it?
答：我们对美国驻华大使馆新馆建成表示祝贺。布什总统将出席美国大使馆落成仪式是一件好事。不久前，中国驻美国大使馆新馆舍也已落成，杨洁篪外长出席了落成仪式。两个馆舍的建设也反映出中美双边关系规模在不断扩大。双方的外交官员都会为中美关系的健康、稳定发展继续做出努力。我们希望新馆舍的建成能为双方外交官的工作提供更多便利。中方会为美国驻华大使馆的工作继续提供便利。
A: We extend congratulations on the completion of the new US embassy in China and we are happy to see President Bush attend the ceremony. Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also attended the opening ceremony of the new Chinese embassy in Washington recently. The construction of the two embassies also reflects the continuous expansion of bilateral relations. I believe that diplomats of the two countries will continue to make contribution to the sound and stable development of China-US relations. I hope the new offices will further facilitate the work of our diplomats and we will continue to provide convenience to the US embassy in China.
问：尽管昨天奥运会彩排有严格的安保，韩国某电视台还是拍摄到了相关录像，你对此如何解释？
Q: The rehearsal of the Olympic opening ceremony was somehow video-recorded by a ROK television despite tight security guard. How do you explain that?
答：我们注意到韩国某电视台播出了奥运会开幕式演练的有关镜头，并引起社会上的一些反响。我相信很多人，包括一些外国电视台对奥运会开幕式非常感兴趣，但是也不要太着急了，还是按规则办事比较好。
A: We take note that a ROK television broadcast a footage of the Olympic opening ceremony rehearsal, which aroused a row in the public. I know that many people, including some foreign TV stations have keen interested in the Olympic opening ceremony. But there's no need to rush, I think it'd better to play by the rules, no need to rush.
