哈佛大学有1000多名中国学生，是哈佛最大的国际学生群体，也是中美人文交流的生动缩影。
There are over 1,000 Chinese students in Harvard University. They are the largest group of international students from a single country, which shows the vitality of the people to people exchange between China and the US.
应对气候变化、公共卫生、防扩散等一系列重大紧迫的全球性挑战，中美合作都不可或缺、势在必行。
China-U.S. collaboration is an urgent necessity on issues such as climate change, public sanitation and proliferation.
然而，当前中美关系却面临严峻复杂的局面，误解误判的乌云在聚积，所谓“新冷战”的坚冰在凝结。
However, the bilateral ties are facing a severe and complicated situation now. The dark clouds of misunderstanding and miscalculation are gathering. The ice of a “new cold war” is in the process of being formed.
这其中的原因是什么？中美关系的出路在哪里？双方如何找到新的相处之道？这些都是举世瞩目的世纪之问。同时，乌克兰危机也促使人们对大国关系、国际秩序的反思。
What are the reasons and what are the solutions for China-U.S. Relations? How can the two sides find a new way to get along? These are the questions of the century for the whole world. At the same time, the Ukraine crisis has left the world reflecting how to better deal with major power relations.
为此，要开展更加广泛、深入、坦诚、开放的交流对话，用事实真相和真理的力量，打破误解偏见固化成的所谓“一般常识”，打破冥顽不化的政治正确，打破当前不符合两国利益、背离两国民意的僵冷局面。
In the light of this we should foster more extensive, in-depth, candid and open-minded dialogue. We should use the power of truth to break the so-called common sense built up by stereotypes, remove the so-called “political correctness” that seems to be hard to dissolve and improve the stiff and tense situation that goes against the true interests of the people from the two nations.
我衷心祝愿本届哈佛中国论坛集思广益，出谋划策，掀起又一场“头脑风暴”，帮助吹散误解误判的乌云，希望每位论坛参与者都能成为“破冰者”。
I sincerely wish that this Harvard China Forum can collect good ideas and brainstorm on how to disperse the dark clouds of misunderstanding and miscalculation. I hope each participant can be an icebreaker.

一个健康稳定的中美关系事关两国17亿人民的福祉，也事关世界的和平稳定繁荣。让我们一起为此而共同努力。谢谢大家。
A stable and healthy China-U.S. relationship is closely linked to the welfare of over 1.7 billion people of the two nations as well as the peace, stability and prosperity of the world. Let's work together for these goals. Thank you!
