From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

; K  l3 b7 R1 w2 D$ uWhat are my responsibilities?
  Z/ D5 R: }# g* M7 U3 P9 W
  q$ a0 O) y7 eContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
5 H7 S) K6 M" Q) e. Z+ G; {Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
5 w! o5 c$ @) s, k  HTranslation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
- D- k- q  }; d& yResearch, define and provide terminology
# |1 _7 V/ X+ ^0 s! aAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
/ p' i# M7 e% g& mSupport and advise external translators
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

& q) K" Z: k8 [, f( X2 N) L+ h; NWhat do I need to qualify for this job?
# n/ G1 z7 A2 [+ O# Z
$ l3 S" L5 A4 wBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
8 s+ D7 g/ }8 f6 J  E0 I' @Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
. `$ W" P/ U: T7 _7 bExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
" T! K1 C% s7 Q% |Prefer basic understaning about German
