What are my responsibilities?
l. x" C- E2 b; Y# S1 U! P3 H7 }% R* ]6 k& E v* M- ~
Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders. o l' Z/ m, H" j. Q! O8 F
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS7 x2 M( A) r" w0 a7 R
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations/ Z; ]7 Z, M; O! h
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
]) F6 H% n8 r* ]( [6 hOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications4 [. C5 C( E% c
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results3 s/ H8 n0 ]# B! P2 `/ Y
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
& v. i0 L5 n) l$ u! N0 HResearch, define and provide terminology. g& a9 j8 I+ b0 G7 L. R9 V& x
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level+ M6 O0 b8 ^* W1 _
Support and advise external translators6 r; Y. J9 P$ V9 G
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior- \. S) m- I% ?# A$ W
4 q' _) {; d; n/ z! v" _9 g3 o- i( ?What do I need to qualify for this job?
8 G; |4 d. E% ^/ o" V; `1 ]) p+ M- c
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience# X% _+ p) O+ ?
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
& t. a1 [5 o' N# tExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market$ W) T( v' G% Q( e. g5 |# m
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
6 l e- ~. ]' ?% j$ I* f |( D) \; oAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
