Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
0 i5 h7 u! u2 N" V0 H' v; B2 HProject acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
, j0 I8 [" i! p4 a( jReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations: E) ]1 a2 P0 y) V
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring* |0 j9 F: m. @5 E& m9 n8 e/ u
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications9 y4 g! Q6 i6 i3 }6 k; R- ?
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
( h" h7 L& M2 H; X: y6 V8 dTranslation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors- f' ]/ S8 L% F
Research, define and provide terminology9 u4 w- M+ B: C9 G) j
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level

What do I need to qualify for this job?
1 }. h: j" p$ Z3 A7 O2 y( z8 W8 z5 @' q
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience; s: J* C/ d! g4 {! j
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
; l- z$ S. |( S9 V4 vExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
3 `1 Z; J5 G0 H- h- jExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus- T# e% s/ u7 `. E+ i
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
