From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

What are my responsibilities?

/ N/ V/ { S O; L* l: n7 Y. NContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders! T5 d# w( R! C* ?) ]
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
: G! ]6 t$ E% bReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations- `8 z# f" B% k" ]7 R( W1 }/ N
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring9 _4 w" u" }. A) ^" Y6 a2 T; ^
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
6 d7 b; y! C8 s& j7 g8 `6 M' gOptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results: J' W- e2 d. Q0 b3 M( n6 F; X7 a
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors9 k% |. d- Q$ n3 L
Research, define and provide terminology
! |! Q4 O Z2 P& p& ^- N% AAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
7 F3 k2 D- I9 K6 ^Support and advise external translators

What do I need to qualify for this job?
* o8 e; j4 g3 ~, |0 U
* x7 e5 I% n S! YBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
( N" p3 ]4 ?' o D; K4 l2 YWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)9 g! a# h: y% D u3 c& W) v# N$ a
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market! t' I8 ]) O0 N5 V
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus/ Z B" \# L8 o! v# r! ^7 y
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills; p& c% F; G, \4 ^( g
Prefer basic understaning about German' f8 _6 g \* T' }% g$ v
