From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
4 O! X. a- i7 _: U: e& j4 |* ZProject acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
, l9 x+ M! |" y! T0 ]8 z8 MReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
; i* F' D/ ~1 ^: M8 XOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
: g6 P, \& c: p. {1 HResearch, define and provide terminology
$ |3 Y2 J( _4 A- v4 QAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
4 l, J; |3 [9 K2 X: l4 nSupport and advise external translators
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

What do I need to qualify for this job?
+ ]* z& R7 b( J7 u, c- W  {+ t
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
) ^" E7 n, l- y5 a3 @) I' LWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
  j0 M4 R0 V! f  \/ G" V8 E+ ]0 SAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
