From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

What are my responsibilities?

& [4 F  Q6 R; R+ ~- A6 }6 x, QContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
% J: _2 j9 Q0 h! G* IReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
) X7 u# J. `% }" d# }3 fOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
4 \# W8 _: s0 }0 WOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
Research, define and provide terminology
/ \9 }. n! H8 a: I* E( JAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
) j5 ?: w- a& `3 E$ @5 hUpdate the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior
0 e; P  L& o8 n1 v; f7 J- ]. h
What do I need to qualify for this job?

( L, o3 u! F) v/ _8 E5 r/ yBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
6 r% _1 g+ v$ e3 |( y" D5 HWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
) K0 i8 a0 C0 s/ P  X0 ?& r! u$ HExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
