What are my responsibilities?

Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
( K& v0 ]: v, h4 @! t& A/ `4 @Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS4 u+ ^* X# L* z+ n8 ~
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
; A1 U5 m# @% j" ]Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring* Q* E) P! K& D. A
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications9 d( F3 z# I8 G
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
+ i' g6 S& ]& h- {Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors1 r/ m) `. o& G2 M, q
Research, define and provide terminology
+ ~9 H6 i! l! W8 h2 vAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level, K/ c% N! z# c; N
Support and advise external translators

What do I need to qualify for this job?
. K! X9 F2 l1 m' t
: r' h, g T! N% ]! RBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience1 v" W( _6 P$ y" k
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
# a) [& w" |( U0 b* fExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
/ k" h) @% R, T9 hExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
0 B: k% h( y6 `! gAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills' c9 l3 p9 H# t' k/ R. }, h6 N
