What are my responsibilities?
6 I9 D% M4 m6 H, ]
; d, Q' L1 ?4 y( B, B2 D! z( MContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
# W  e& b; F: Q1 M4 R1 [2 aReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
) W8 F2 x* v, o/ e4 z% XOptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
/ j( w. Q" }* N9 K; ]" E* c7 r9 |Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
! _" G. n' z% P+ U5 VResearch, define and provide terminology
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
0 Q; M" y8 o: l+ e8 \Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
# E- d" {9 L) P2 I7 e5 d! SWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
; i8 y  ?' h* mAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
