From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

- v8 I+ a$ h. S0 F1 t% Q& ?4 dContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
* A' `5 z2 q1 y. L7 @" nProject acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
- _! {/ `% V! }& {Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
# L' z  w* T9 v% rOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
" Z' ~, B6 i7 s6 c( UOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
7 y/ X9 h/ V0 G9 @% pResearch, define and provide terminology
$ T! X: o1 J8 \Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
  h. @$ D+ Y/ L3 a9 QSupport and advise external translators

0 J# f+ c% A" ]6 x8 o6 J, a7 lWhat do I need to qualify for this job?

3 p4 I# x/ s, K7 ^# g8 KBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
2 m5 u- T/ c6 ~5 c" Q" nWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
